J&H Tours History
2010 will be our 18th year of operating luxury tours to destinations within Australia and overseas.
Our passion to provide the highest level of attentive and personalised service to each guest on tour remains our primary goal.
In the delivery of our tours we have chartered over 80 Qantas aircraft to operate short break and round the world tours. This included five round-the-world tours to Asia, Africa and South America and 51 flights to Antarctica. We have also operated many other tours for small and large groups to various destinations throughout the world, particularly Eastern and Western Europe.
Since operating as J&H Tours in 2000, we have taken small groups on luxury tours to South West France, Croatia and the Basque Country of France & Spain. We have also exclusively chartered the luxury Silversea cruise ship, Silver Shadow, as well as facilitating guests’ travel on Silversea voyages as part of our tours.
Over the past 18 years, our travel projects and charity flights, have donated more than $3 million dollars to ten Australian Charities including Ronald McDonald House Charities and Clean-Up Australia. Our businesses have also received recognition by winning five major tourist awards in the NSW and Australian Tourist Awards for Excellence. In 1999, these contributions to Charities and Tourism lead to John Ross being awarded an Order of Australia medal (OAM).
We have been fortunate to have travelled to well over 130 countries and through our personal experiences, have refined and further developed our J&H Tours product. J&H Tours offers personalised, all-inclusive, luxury tours for 10-20 guests to very special regions in every country visited. We stay longer in each region than most tours, with a preference for smaller villages. The extended stays give us the opportunity to showcase unique local enhancements and offer a more relaxed pace tour and greater prospect for guests to explore and enjoy the highlights of the different regions.
J&H Tours has seen an expansion in our team of experienced and talented personnel and the formation of strong alliances with a number of world renowned luxury tour operators to provide our guests with the ultimate luxury travel experience.
In 2010 we will continue to operate a small number of escorted tours and to provide our personal travel service.
